Have you ever seen a beautiful house or office building and wondered who did the work? Have you ever wished that you could do some of the work that you've seen elsewhere? Many people wonder what it would be like to be an Interior Designer, but they rarely ever go beyond thinking about it. An interior Designer is a consultant. You are there to beautify any particular environment as well as provide your clients with the service of explaining why you are recommending, and doing the things that your project will require. You must educate your client about interior design as well as design. You have obviously given the idea of being an Interior Designer serious thought or you wouldn't be reading this. Of course, like most people, you are probably wondering whether or not it is the right choice for you. I can guarantee you, that after you've read this, you will know for sure if Interior Design is the right career choice for your future. Interior Design can be a very lucrative job choice for the right person. You might be wondering exactly what an Interior Designer does. It is really simple. An Interior Designer creates, organizes, and designs commercial and/or residential properties. Basically, an interior designer works with the interior of a particular space, such as rooms, offices, boardrooms, and various other internal spaces. Here is a list of some of the places that interior designers can work in: hotels, banks, restaurants, stadiums, arenas. This doesn't seem very broad, but think of all of the other types of homes and businesses that I didn't mention. The possibilities are truly endless in this field. Interior Designers do more than just decorate a space. In some cases they can add extra rooms, design patios and gazebos, add or remove wall space, and they spend a great deal of time networking with people. Interior Designers are responsible for creating a comfortable and relaxed space for their clients to live and/or work in. It is your duty to offer clients the best work that their needs, and budget can give. People put a great deal of trust in you, and you must reward that with the best final result possible..

We are planning a family trip for just a few days. That is my family, my brother's family, and my other brother's family. Our mother will be joining us, too. That makes four households, seven adults and six children all under three years old. Praise to my brave (foolish?) wife who has somehow volunteered to coordinate the arrangements.Even reserving months in advance, we were unable to get four rooms adjoining at the motel, all with the right view and on the right level. If we were going for longer, we would probably rent a house as we have done before. There are vacation rentals in almost every corner of the world, but they are particularly common in high-tourist areas like Florida, California and the Mediterranean countries. Here is my top ten list of why a family should pick a vacation rental (and specifically a vacation rental home):1.	Not toiling to find ideal, adjoining rooms. 2.	Everybody gets privacy, without having to worry about where the kids are.3.	You don't have to share the common area with strangers, but you can still lounge around together.4.	More than one bathroom. Need I say more?5.	Lots and lots and lots of more room. This is usually the main selling feature.6.	Private pool, in most cases. "Great to swim with the sound of insects....fortunately outside the 'cage'", wrote one visitor in the guestbook of Lesley & Gerry's villa. http://www.lastminutevillas.net/villa/?villa_id=15&x=21&y=77.	Usually cost less than hotels.8.	Store cold drinks, ice creams, fresh fruit or any other snacks you fancy, which is a huge cost saver, suggests villa owner Christine Creasy. And a great convenience, too. http://www.lastminutevillas.net/villa/?villa_id=65&x=26&y=79.	Barbecue any time you want. You can still eat out, but you don't HAVE to.10. You don't have to take home several weeks' supply of dirty laundry. There you have it. My top ten reasons to choose a vacation rental. I've written before on the benefits of renting private accommodations:http://www.lastminutevillas.net/villa-hotel.htmlOf course, I still prefer a tent in a wilderness park, but I might have some difficulty convincing my mother to join us there..

Friday night poker will never be the same once you get a taste of playing poker in Las Vegas. Being an avid poker player since childhood (yes we were taught to play cards as children in our family), we have risen to new heights with playing in the sumptuous poker rooms in Las Vegas. Poker has come to the attention of the younger set and is probably one of the most favorite ways to gamble at the moment.Poker tournaments abound in Vegas, and guaranteed you'll find a poker tournament going on every day at one or another of these casino hotels. The most popular Las Vegas poker games are Texas Hold 'em, Seven Card Stud poker and Omaha poker. Whether you play small stakes or high stakes poker games, there is a poker table for you.The cost to buy in usually ranges from about $40 up to $2000. A few years back I was attending a meeting and one of the theme nights was "Poker Night". A Las Vegas dealer filled us in on what and how to play "Texas Hold 'em" and life has never been the same. I discovered the game of my dreams, We'll try to explain the tips he gave us and give some ideas on the best places to play. Don't be mislead, however it can be deadly on the pocketbook, but bluffing and winning has never been more fun. Some of our favorite places to play in Las Vegas are at the major casinos, one of the most luxurious rooms of course, is in one of the most luxurious hotels, The Bellagio by name. Texas Hold 'em is a very popular game here as well as 7 Card Stud. Wednesday and Fridays are the poker tournament days. There are at least 30 tables - so name your poison! Bellagio hosts the World Poker Tour championship in April, this is my dream to play for the $1,000,000 stakes in a World Championship.Circus Circus is a good place for lower limit games and tournaments. It has been voted "Best Poker Room in Las Vegas".The Luxor offers daily Texas Hold 'em tournaments with low limit tables. If you look over the crowd you may see me among the players at The Luxor during the week. For a large variety of limits as well as poker games, The Mirage is the place to go. You can play 7 Card Stud or Omaha 8 at your choice of 31 tables....and Texas Hold 'em can be played as well. Poker tournaments are held Sunday through Thursday, buy-ins on those nights range from $60 to $120. The Mirage hosts a Mirage Poker Showdown tournament in July. When you get tired of ogling the girls around the pool at The Palms, you might want to wander into their poker rooms. A low limit room deals Texas Hold 'em with spreads of $2 to $4 and $4 to $8. High stakes poker room offer No Limit Texas Hold 'em and progressive High Hand Jackpots.Find no limit poker tournaments every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday at The Sahara. $40 to buy-in.If you think you need poker lessons and you probably do, a good place to go is Excalibur, you can't beat the cost of their lessons. Free!In the meantime here are a few things to know about Texas Hold 'em (I'm not sure if I mentioned - this game is also sometimes called "Let 'em ride".A hand begins when one or more players to the left of the dealer post a "blind" bets. A blind bet is the same as an ante in other games. Each player gets 2 cards dealt face down, after you get these two cards, you can make a bet or fold. My dealer suggests if they're not high cards - fold 'em! Betting starts to the left of the big blind, and continues around the table. To continue playing you must call a 2 unit bet.The dealer deals three cards, these cards are community cards and each player matches up these cards with their "hole" cards. Another round of betting takes place, all bets are in increments of 2 at this point. 2 more cards are dealt face up, after each card betting once again, after the 4th card is dealt, betting is in 4 increments. Then a fifth card is dealt and followed by a final round of bets, all bets now in increments of 4. These cards combined with your 2 make up a 5 card hand, you can use the hole cards or not in figuring your best 5 card hand! Bluffing is big in this game, since no one knows who may have the best cards in the hole, sometimes the biggest bluffer and the best "poker face" wins.At any time, when there is only one player remaining, the pot is awarded to that player, and this is where all the bluffing comes in, that player does not need to show his cards. (so you'll never know!) If more players stay in, at the end of play all hole cards are shown and each player makes up the best possible 5 card hand, you may use both, one or none of your hole cards to make up your hand. As in other poker games, the same hierarchy of winning hands counts, from a straight flush, 4 of a kind, full house all the way down to one pair or just high card. These are the bare rudiments of the game, I think the tip to be gained here is "if those hole cards aren't high - get out". For additional texas hold'em poker tips and strategies go to http://www/lasvegas-wow.comEnjoy the poker rooms and the big poker revival taking place, it's fun! This article may be used on any website or blog, please make sure to keep my information intact..

The storm passed ahead of Leroy and I, although a chilly wind follows in its wake, stirring up the earthy scents of the forest to greet us when we arrive at the Resort. Fall temperatures for the Perrysville- Loudonville area in Ohio normally ranges in the upper 50s at night. In the winter when guests visit the Mohican Memorial State Forest adjacent to the park to cruise the snowy trails on their snowmobiles temperatures drop to a high 20 degrees.A bit tired, we can't resist slipping into our jackets and taking a brisk walk to admire the bright moon rising in the sky over Pleasant Hill Lake below the Mohican State Park Resort. The 6,000-acre Mohican State Park and Forest is peaceful except for the rustling of tree limbs and the distant hoot of an owl. For a brief moment I imagine the Delaware Indians huddled around a camp fire after a day of hunting before they were driven from the area during the War of 1812. The Mohican State Park, Resort, and Camp Grounds are packed throughout the year with those who love hunting, fishing on Pleasant Hill Lake, and camping at one of 123 sites in the park. Leroy draws me back from my thoughts to retire to our recently renovated and spacious guestroom where we relax with a cup of hot tea on a private balcony. In the morning the lobby is filled with aroma of fresh baked muffins. While we dined on our selections of fresh fruits and baked goods from the wonderful buffet at the Bromfield Restaurant outside the window the squirrels and blue jays shared a meal. Afterwards, Leroy challenges me to a quick game of pool while a family tests their skills at table tennis. Of course, he wins, but there's always later when I'm sure to win at checkers, chess, or a number of other games available for entertainment in the lobby. For now we're headed out to admire the fall foliage, shop, and catch a parade in Loudonville on our first day out.Fall leaves skitter across the road while we drive through the beautiful forests and over a scenic river below a covered bridge. On our way to Loudonville we find the historic Pine Run Grist Mill where festivals are held annually. There is also a wonderful assortment of outdoor activities like horse back riding, canoeing, and go-carts for our family to enjoy on our summer camping trip next year.Ahead, we spot the cars and crowds headed toward downtown Loudonville for the parade. While waiting for the floats and bands to pass we chat with our new friend, Paula. Almost like magic, she waves her hand and who should appear walking down the sidewalk . . . Sylvester, the cat. It's these unexpected moments in small towns I've come to enjoy most on our trips after growing up in the big city of Los Angeles. Loudonville has fabulous shops like the Books, Bangles, and Brews, offering dining, hand-dipped ice cream, homemade desserts, and previously read books. I love books, but before I could get too close Leroy quickly steered me toward the door and gently reminded me I have plenty at home on my shelf to finishing reading first. That's all right; I also like Southwest d?cor and found a great selection of gifts, Indian art, and jewelry in the Creative Outlet, which also has a wonderful Relaxation Center . Across the street I discovered unique gifts for family and friends and heavenly scented homemade bath products by Grandma's Cupboard and at a precious shop called The Extraordinary Shoppe. To complete our day we took a trip to Landoll's Mohican Castle located seven miles from Loudonville. We climb a tree-lined drive and take in an amazed breath of awe; here stands a German-style castle from a fairy tale with turrets and oriels, right in Ohio. It is not the castle that makes the man, but his compassion and kindness. We knew this was true when we shook Mr. Jim Landoll's hand. The castle is a reflection of hard work and dedication to his family who work with him on site to make the dreams of guests come true. We listen while he describes the preparations for the fairy tale wedding. His eyes light up when this humble man speaks about past weddings when the bride becomes a princess standing on the balcony of his castle and waves down at her prince below. In addition to weddings, Landoll's Mohican Castle also host conferences and banquets. Guests staying at one of the eleven elegant suites or luxury cottage at the castle can wander the 30 miles of trails throughout the 1,100 acre woodlands, or work out in the fitness center adjacent to the pool with sauna rooms, and a cascading waterfall. The elegant suites have convenient kitchens, luxury Jacuzzi's, and inviting fireplaces. But I live in Baltimore . . . it's hot here too in the middle of July! So, what better time to head to a beach...especially one that wouldn't be as crowded in high summer as the closer Maryland beaches where everyone heads "down-y ocean," as they say in this part of the world. So, off I went to sunny (and yes, hot *and* humid!) Florida for a summer beach vacation. And you know what? Summer or winter, Florida is an ideal vacation destination (Not that that's a major newsflash, of course, but I thought I'd confirm it just in case you had any doubts!).I flew from Baltimore to Ft. Lauderdale, not Miami. The airports were equi-distant from my hotels, and I found the Ft. Lauderdale airport much more manageable than the larger Miami airport.I spent the first three nights at the Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort on Sunny Isles Beach, just north of Miami Beach. And yes, "The Donald" is a part-owner, and, never one to miss a marketing opportunity, T-shirts saying "You're Fired" are for sale in the gift shop. This 32-story resort has 390 guestrooms including one- and two-bedroom suites. I had a one-bedroom suite?which I would be perfectly happy to move into!?that came complete with living room, dining room, full kitchen, laundry room, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean and the pool, and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Apparently other people feel the same because the beds, and the linens, can be bought. Talk about a souvenir! The hotel also houses the "American Classics Collection," a $5 million collection of 30 classic automobiles, numerous road signs, gas pumps, posters, radios, and other antiques. Some of the highlights include a 1928 Duesenberg, 1950 Mercury, 1949 Chrysler "Town & Country" convertible, 1964 Ford Mustang, 1958 Ford Edsel, 1967 Amphibious, and a 1946 Bubbler Wurlitzer Juke Box. This is a treat for young and old alike!Read this entire feature FREE with photos at:http://www.jetsettersmagazine.com/archive/jetezine/hotels/florida/miami/beach/sonesta/miamibeach.html?
